Impactruler Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring, mentoring, and empowering the next generation through barbering, business, and leadership - proving that your past doesn't define your future.
OUR FOUNDER
David Arias also known as King David is the Founder of Impact Ruler Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for individuals who need them most.
David's journey is one of resilience, redemption, and purpose. After serving 11 years of incarceration, he returned home determined to transform his life and help others avoid the same path he started as at the age of 13. In just 11 months since his release, David has become a respected community leader, using his personal story to inspire young people to make positive choices and believe that their past does not define their future.
Through mentorship, barbering, and community outreach, David has impacted countless youth by providing guidance, life skills, and a safe space where they can grow in confidence and pursue brighter futures. His barbering program is more than teaching a trade—it is about building character, creating opportunities, and giving young people the support they need to succeed.
David's work has gained national and international recognition. His story and community impact have been featured by the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Univision, and ESPN Brasil. He has also partnered with leading brands such as Vans and WSS to expand opportunities for the communities he serves.
Committed to giving back, David regularly organizes and participates in community events throughout Los Angeles County, including Hawthorne Connect Day and the Lincoln Heights Community Event hosted by Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez. Through free haircuts, mentorship, resource fairs, and youth engagement, he continues to make a lasting impact on families across the region.
David believes that every person deserves a second chance. His mission is to inspire hope, break cycles of violence, end massive incarceration, and getting it done by showing our future generation that with guidance, determination, community support, and with a hard-working team anything is possible just like CAL FIRE would show him when he was the leading member of the team creating a safe path not only for him but for the whole team.

Supporting Our Unhoused Community
Impact Ruler Foundation is committed to serving individuals experiencing homelessness by providing more than just a haircut—we provide dignity, confidence, and a sense of community.
Through our community outreach efforts, our team has provided free professional haircuts to unhoused individuals, helping people feel seen, respected, and cared for.
Our barbering services are also an opportunity to build relationships, encourage individuals, and remind them that their circumstances do not define their worth or their future.
Our goal is to continue bringing barbering, mentorship, and positive community support directly to those who need it most.

Supporting Individuals Returning Home
Impact Ruler Foundation believes that a person’s past does not have to define their future. We support individuals returning home from incarceration by helping them explore barbering as a skill, career pathway, and opportunity for personal growth.
Through barbering mentorship and hands-on training, we help returning individuals build confidence, develop professional skills, and understand how barbering can become a source of income and a foundation for entrepreneurship.
Our goal is to give people coming home the tools, mentorship, and opportunity they need to rebuild their lives, pursue meaningful careers, and become positive influences within their communities.
We believe in second chances—and we use barbering to help turn those second chances into new beginnings.
